NRDC – Granny Apple

Up to 40% of food in the United States is wasted; contributing to extensive environmental, economic, and societal impacts. If Americans commit to reducing the amount of food waste, cities could stabilize their waste management costs, and make progress toward climate and sustainability goals. By recycling food scraps, Americans could minimize what goes into landfills and incinerators. 

For our campaign partnership with the NRDC, we created a feisty Granny Apple, to become the latest spokesperson for NRDC’s Save the Food Campaign. Granny Apple highlights ways Ameicans can meal prep, save on grocery costs, and reduce food waste. Watch the adorable supporting cast ask questions and learn from Granny’s wisdom.
